Internships Available in San Antonio
Rep. Villarreal is in his 6th term at the State Capitol working on education, clean air and water, policies that value hard work and aspiration, and smarter government solutions that get more for our money. He maintains an active constituent services and outreach program in his district in San Antonio.
We are seeking undergraduate and graduate students to intern for the current semester in our district office in San Antonio. Students will be responsible for assisting constituents to resolve issues with state services, planning and outreach for community events, and managing constituent correspondence. We work closely with students to ensure that their assignments support their academic and professional goals. Internships are unpaid. Students handling constituent casework must work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.
- Ability to work in a professional team structure, and manage competing priorities.
- Previous volunteer or office experience required.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values and priorities of our team.
